Singing kids

We like to teach the kids songs at family worship. We recently discovered a treasure - "May the Mind of Christ my Savior." We've learned a great way to teach the kids songs is the callback method - Daddy sings a phrase and everyone repeats it; and there are many interesting variations.
They VERY rarely will perform for the camera, but tonight we just happened to catch them in the right mood. So we got as much out of them as we could.

Below are the singing pictures. Additionally, we've posted videos of their memory verse they learned in school on the school blog http://www.calebsclassroom.blogspot.com.

All the kids together...

A VERY SILLY one...

Caleb and Caroline...

Just Caroline...

Just Joshua...

Joshua's bath

Joshua being very cute in the bath.

Elisa - busy girl; sleepy girl

Look at this busy beauty! She wants to help out.

Elisa is so sleepy! She's almost never done this, but it's so cute!

Elisa wants to walk

Elisa just discovered how to scoot around by pushing a little car - and the others love to help. She's going to want to walk very soon - she'll be one in less than a month!

Caroline can BALANCE!

We haven't forgotten our friends at Minot who taught us that we don't need training wheels, and without them kids learn so much faster. The trick is to lower their seat so their feet comfortably touch the ground, then let them ride the bike like a scooter for weeks or more until they're comfortable. They naturally pick up balance without even thinking about it. Then when they're ready, put the pedals on, and no kidding - off they go.
Caroline is only 4 years and 4 months old and look at her go - and she's gotten better quickly in the few days since she learned.

Cuties together

Got a new swingset and the kids love it! They even invented a way to swing with Elisa.

Joshua counting

What a cute boy! He's so smart!

Hi Miss Ashley

Joshua had a few things to say to Miss Ashley, our friend who is in China. Here it is.
